Coffee Technician

Are you mechanically inclined? Do your friends call you a "coffee nerd?" We want to talk to you! As a Coffee Service Technician,  you will be responsible for helping clients learn about which equipment is best for their setting, installing that equipment, and maintaining ongoing repair services for all Dialed Coffee customers. Customer service skills, a driven attitude, and strong time management skills are a must. A technical mindset and the ability to problem solve are key necessities to this role. 

This job is based in Jenison, MI and travel will be required daily throughout West Michigan. Both full time and part time applicants are welcomed to apply.

Responsibilities:
  1. Installation and Maintenance:
    • Install and set up coffee machines at client locations.
    • Conduct routine maintenance to ensure optimal performance of coffee equipment.
    • Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues promptly.
    • Perform on-site repairs to address equipment malfunctions.
  2. Customer Support:
    • Provide excellent customer service and support to clients.
    • Educate customers on proper machine usage and maintenance procedures.
    • Address customer inquiries and concerns in a professional and timely manner.
  3. Training:
    • Train clients and their staff on the use and care of coffee machines.
    • Offer guidance on best practices for maintaining equipment longevity.
  4. Documentation:
    • Maintain accurate records of service calls, repairs, and maintenance tasks.
    • Create detailed reports on the status of each machine and provide recommendations for improvements.
Requirements:
  • Strong mechanical and technical aptitude.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Customer-focused with outstanding communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of various coffee machine brands and models.
  • Personal tools for use on service calls
  • Reliable personal vehicle
Education and Certification:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Technical certification in coffee machine maintenance or a related field is a plus.
  • Previous experience as a skilled barista is a plus.
